Military Times Redesign

In 2016, Military Times underwent a huge redesign of the print products for Army Times, Navy Times, Air Force Times and Marine Corps Times. The distribution of the newspapers changed from weekly to every other week and therefor we moved towards a more magazine-like style. There was also a content shift from hard news to more of a lifestyle and family oriented focus, which drove the redesign. We incorporated more white space, more custom layouts and a lot more graphics and infographics. A few examples are below. We also incorporated the styles we defined for the papers into some of the online elements such as the motion graphics. A few of the motion graphics I made can be seen at the bottom of the page.

Motion Graphics

I created some motion graphics templates as part of the Military Times redesign, but I also created motion graphics on a regular basis for the Military Times brands, to be featured within articles on the site and on social.
